42nd Open Summer Tournament 2022

“Warty” our mascot warmly invites you to join us at the Tockington 42nd Open Summer Tournament on Sunday 3rd July 2022. He has a reputation for running a friendly shoot, and particularly welcomes beginners.

Enjoy a beautiful setting in front of Tockington Manor.  Bacon baps, hot and cold drinks, and cakes will be available (discounted hot drinks if you bring your own cup).

Double Men’s/Ladies WA70m & WA50m

Awards
Men’s and ladies’ trophies and medals will be awarded in all classes.

Closing date
Friday 24th June 2022.
Targets
Compounds will shoot on foam, all others on straw.
Shooting details
Four archers per boss shooting in two details.  Arrows to be shot in ends of 6.  Recurve, Barebow, Longbow to shoot 70m on a 122cm face.  Compound to shoot 50m on an 80cm face.
Rules of shooting
World Archery rules will apply.
Dress regulation
Rule 307 will apply.
Discipline
The judge is responsible for the safe conduct of the shoot at all times. His decision in all matters is final and must be obeyed. The Tournament Organiser has the right to exclude any person on the field for unreasonable behaviour.

  • Every arrow needs to be accounted for. Any lost must be reported to the Tournament Organiser
  • Tockington Archers’ full and associate members can shoot as long as they register beforehand and help with setting up and taking down the field.
